Our Story

We, Fhatuwani Mudau and Michael Elfick, are two close friends who share a passion for helping others achieve success both academically and personally.

We met on Grade 8 camp, and soon become friends. In Grade 11, we started working together in the academic space, when we founded the Academic Excellence Committee inside St David's. This was our first initiative together, where we aimed to further enhance the academic culture through student-led initiatives, such as cross-grade conversations and debates. Then, in 2024, we were the Head Boy and Dux Scholar of St David's Marist Inanda. 

After leaving school, we were excited to share our knowledge and experience with others to assist them in achieving success in their school careers. We began Elfick & Mudau Tutoring together, through which we are dedicated to providing high quality online tutoring that makes a difference in students' learning journeys. We not only aim to teach the hard skills we learnt, but also to pass on the things that helped us succeed academically and personally in school; our own Formula for Success.
